Edema is the medical term for swelling found anywhere on the body.  We specialize in helping patients address swelling issues that are commonly associated with diagnoses such as edema, lymphedema, and venous insufficiency.  Lymphedema often occurs following cancer with lymph node removal but can occur in any person with chronic swelling.  Our occupational therapist can develop a plan of care to help minimize swelling and assist in ordering the patient a sequential compression device to manage edema.
